Arborea is situated for all the important places of interest in the area, which abounds in culture and history. Oristano, the chief town of the Medieval Giudicato of Arborea, attracts of visitors because of its beautiful architecture and local traditions. The town is famous for the exciting horse-riding event known as the Sartiglia, which takes place during Carnival time. The archaeological site of Tharros is also not far away.
